    Default Images for canvas

Hey everyone- first time poster here. I'm a huge fan of astronomy and for the holidays I would like to find a picture and blow it up on a canvas (maybe 24" x 36" or something like that) to hang on my wall.

I would love to hear any suggestions that you guys have for pictures, and if anyone could send me any high res images that would be great too! Thanks so much!

Thanks for the response! Those images are pretty cool, but I don't think they're high res enough for a large print. Do you have any other suggestions? I'm having a hard time settling on something in particular.

I don't know if you can get this done in time for Christmas. If you can get to know some astrophotographers you might get one of them to send you a picture. Different people feel differently. You couldn't presume that everyone will be happy for you to use one of theirs. They take a lot of work. Perhaps if you described the type of picture that you are interested in someone would contact you with an offer. Perhaps not. It is difficult to tell. Do you know exactly what type of picture you want to blow up?

NASA recently released a great high res picture of the moon. It could be blown up as big as you want it.

Hey Rob, thanks for the reply. I was thinking about pictures of galaxies or nebulas, but I'm really open to whatever, although I prefer something outside the solar system.

Good idea! This looks like the kind of thing you are looking for. You may find exactly the right thing.

Thanks guys! I actually found that website a little while ago, but I wasn't sure whether those photos were high res enough, since they only have options for hanging photos up to 16x20. They have a few images in the wall mural section, but I was hoping for a larger selection.
