I would like to express my deepest thanks to all of you who brave the cold late hours or hot mosquito filled humid nights to bring us the beauty of space.

Your efforts are not wasted nor are talents to be put on a scale. I enjoy watching the development of experience and the breath taking results of such persistence. Mostly, I thank you for showing me things I can’t see but now know one day I could capture. Unlike the boundless images of million/billion dollar scopes that are unattainable to an amateur like me.

Thank you for your time, your effort and your amazing images.

The clearest of skies to you all and keep posting!

BBGun love your username Unfortunately the lights affecting me are too far for me to shoot :P

    Great post/thread

The friendship here, and common growth in experience is amazing. The sharing of the passion of our common universe is wonderful.

I have been quite slow to grow my skills in astronomy but some here have leaped by bounds, and every single person here I have learned something from.

I have enjoyed seeing sketches, reading reports, and just like some people wonder at the images coming from us southern sky people - we too wonder (and some of us miss) the northern skies and its wonders.

I guess what is important is sharing a common sky, to wonder at and home here on earth to live together on.

Everytime I get lazy, or tired - or even cold - I sometimes get back out and remember why we brave the cold, the lack of sleep - and gaze with wonder again.

Well said! I only hope to one day, be able to photograph images half as good as some shown on this site.

In the mean time the images posted here have, on many occasions, helped me to confirm a visual sighting of objects I would have not recognized without prior visual clues.

Thank you all, and keep it up.

Sorry, not available in Ireland without a Deer license.

How about an EMP Generator via RC located in the proximity of your local sub power station. The coils are a bit pricy though.
Ps. Please charge all batts and put below ground level before use.
