    i think what makes it best is the gathering of people who are like minded. When a like minded person post pics here, he is giving the beginers instructions on how to do it..thank you all

    I totally agree. The people here are wonderful and offered me so much support about aligning my scope and then what type of DSLR I should buy and the images they take are amazing and inspiring.

    I will say that I have never been a forum person until now. I catch myself checking new post throughout the day on my iPad or iPhone (even though I have to squint some on this one). The images that are posted are amazing and give me inspiration. When I was a kid with my first telescope I was dying to take pictures but never had the money to buy a clock drive much less an SLR camera. Since I have recently been able to get these items I keep hoping for clear nights to try it all out. I am amazed at how much has changed and all of the tools available! This forum is loaded with information which I greatly appreciate plus it is just plain fun to read and respond to posts. The hobby I loved as a child is burning deeper than it ever has before!
