    Just a small point:

PM is the 'Editor Emeritus', doesn't that mean that he was the editor,
and now has retired from that post.

If the magazine has still not launched, it seems a bit odd to have an
ex-editor. Wouldn't it be better to call him something like 'Senior
editorial advisor' or something like that?

Thus spake Roger Steer unto the assembled multitudes:

'Emeritus' basically means an honorary post held by a retired person; it's
most often applied to a retired professor who maintains an advisory role.

I considered subscribing, but the website gives no information on the price
of the magazine, which isn't the greatest incentive. Come on now guys,
    don't be shy...

Slightly pessimistic question, but is there room for another astronomy
magazine, what with Astronomy & Astronomy Now already being on the shelves?
Also, monthly magazines are always rather late with "latest news" in this
    digital age.

Yes. IMNSVHO there is not just "room", but there is demand for a *good*
    monthly UK astronomy magazine.

It said 'ask', so I asked. 38UKP per year in UK (apparently 25% of
street price) which is the going rate for BBC publications.

    price

An e-mail to the subscriptions department revealed a figure of £38 for the
first 12 issues (Presumably including the 3 issue discount)
