Has anyone had the opportunity to use one of these? Looks like they are
going to give the Orion a run for their money you get a 6X30 finder and a 45
degree diagonal as well as a 25mm eyepiece for $479.00(cant remember where I
saw the price so if I am wrong I apologize). It will be nice to have
another choice. Looks kinda cool too.

Strange they would offer an ED scope with a diagonal best for
    terrestrial work.

Looks to be a fine starter scope for very reasonable denaro. That C130-MAK
however has me liking my chops.

    .. That

As if you know for sure. They are new and haven't even been reviewed at
    cloudy nights.
The meade ETX125 got good reviews. Why not this one?

    As an aside:

ETX = US Optics (I think)

    Celestron, Orion = Chinese Optics

I think this was a snide remark, implying that the poster may not be extremely
fond of the MAK design, a sentiment I share...

And I suppose THAT isn't condescending?

Anyway, look above -- the fellow said the Mak has him "liking" his chops.
