    Default 10" Newt/Dobs Kit Recommendation?

I am considering the construction of my own 10" Newtonian/Dobsonian
telescope. Do any of you have any experience with or knowledge of the
following kits? If yes, would you send your opinions? Recommendations on
other kits would also be appreciated.

If you really want to build from a kit I'm sure you have your reasons,
    but you wont save money.

There are dobs of good quality available like the Orion XT10 ,
Skymentor, Hardin deep space hunter etc , at a cheaper price and with
    known optical characteristics.

I agree that if someone wants an inexpensive 10" scope, then the way to go
is to buy one. However, I also wouldn't discourage someone who wants to
build one, as it is not that difficult for a homemade dob to outperform the
commercial ones listed above both optically and mechanically, and the
knowledge acquired by building one's own is very significant.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the quality of these kits. I
would 1) seek out advice from my local astro club, and 2) get the Berry book
    "Build Your Own Telescope".
