Default Bausch & Lomb Legacy binocs

Anyone know where Bausch & Lomb Legacy binocs are made today? (I'm
hoping Japan). And how are they optically (I'm thinking about the
8x40)...my main concern is sharpness in the centre of the field...I'm
not too picky about edge sharpness.

Have a pair of 8x40 WA (9deg), made in China, don't believe they are
made anymore, I got them for $50, well worth more, one of the few
inexpensive Binos in perfect collimation, realy nice views. My eyes
or brain are sensitive to misallignment.

I've found some older Legacy 8x40s with 9 degree f.o.v., the ones made
    nowadays have 'only' about 8.5.
