    Default FS- Zeiss Abbe Orthos

For Sale: Zeiss Abbe Orthos Set- MINT

Absolutely mint set of Zeiss Abbe Orthos as sold by AstroPhysics several
years ago. 25, 16, 10, 6, 4mm. With wooden box, even original outer
carboard box and clear plastic eyepiece envelopes, all pristine. Never
used except for the 4mm a few times on Mars this summer, and I was
extremely careful. Need the money to finance an AP 1200 mount coming
due shortly, or I would not be selling these.

I don't know their value as I rarely see them advertised... so I am
asking $2,200 including shipping, or best offer. If you want the
    'perfect' set, this is it!

    Thanks,
    Rich

    Hi Trane,

2.5 year wait on this mount, should be ready this spring. Now you get

Not meaning to rain on your parade, but you may regret having parted
with those Zeiss oculars, particularly after you assemble the ensemble of your
dreams, and then finding that a bank loan or other would've been a better
    alternative.

    Hi Alan,

Truth is, I thought about it long and hard. The only thing that could
make me regret having parted with them is if the prices continue to
escalate. When Roland Christen's new planetary eyepieces are available,
I'll be one of his first customers, and I don't believe I'll have
    sacrificed anything. We shall see................
