    Since you are so keen on saving weight, and 'Extreme' hillwalking', why not
    just dispense with the binoculars and walk closer to whatever you want to
    see? :-^

    Slightly more helpfully, Swarovski have some new, smaller bins (smaller than
    the 10x42 or8.5x42, that is) coming out soon don't they? I imagine they
    might take the 2x adaptor - or are they already out and the ones you are
    talking about?

    If you mean the 10x32 EL, then that was the problem.
    Swaro "refuse" to let you use the 2x adaptor with
    such a small objective 32 not 42.

    If you mean the "Top Secret New Product" to be launched
    at the Bird Fair then I shall find out tomorrow.
