Telescope Collimation Eyepiece vs. Laser? I am new to astronomy and just bought a Orion Starseeker 130 telescope. Included was a eyepiece with a little hole in the center that is used for collimating the mirrors. I got it to align, but I heard with a laser collimator, you can get it to align much better. So I bought a Zhumell Deluxe Laser Collimator. When I collimate the telescope with the eyepiece and then use the laser, the laser is way off from the center. If I use the laser, the eyepiece becomes way off center. So I don't really know which one is best to use, or if I need to adjust something else. I have tried adjusting both the primary and secondary mirrors but still no luck on having both centered or even anywhere near that. Please give me any advice that you can, thanks! |
